Example 1
We have modernized a Waldrich work roll grinder consisting of both mechanical and electrical upgrades. The fully automated conversion to CNC has led an automated process requiring no operator intervention from start to finish of the grinding process. In addition, this machine also has modified steadies to facilitate quick pads changes.
Example 2
Another example of a Herkules roll grinder upgrade, a machine exclusively for back-up rolls. The upgrade consists of an electrical and mechanical upgrade as well as the full integration of a calliper type measuring device. The back-up rolls are in this instance ground in Morgoil bearings in their chocks. The machine is now fully automated, CNC driven and permits a misalignment of up to +/- 5mm of the roll assembly.
Example 3
A further example of a Herkules combination work and back-up roll grinder upgrade. The modernization consists of an electrical and mechanical upgrade with full CNC capability. This machine is now able to grind CVC rolls as well as the conventional profiles.
