Refurbishing of the work piece and machine beds

An essential part of a good and accurately operating grinding machine is the geometry of the bed. Therefore both machine and work piece beds could be realigned and scraped up to a maximum of one tenth of a millimetre to remove the wear. When an inaccuracy of more then one tenth of a millimetre occurs at the surface of the support bed, the surface can be milled and scraped to the essential dimensions and tolerances. In the event of serious wear the beds would have to be removed and refurbished at the GEORG machine shop.
