Revamp or complete new upper saddle and grinding spindle
LISMAR GEORG is able to revamp the complete upper saddle. When improvement of the grinding performance and the increase of the stock removal rate is the main purpose of the revamp, LISMAR GEORG is able to develop and manufacture a completely new upper saddle and fitted to the machine's original carriage base.
A completely new spindle for the increased grinding power could be engineered and manufactured at the workshop at GEORG. A new spindle drive mechanism including V-belts and V-belt pulleys could be a part of the revamp.
The grinding wheel infeed and tilting device could be integrated in the upper saddle. For existing grinders the tilting could be done by a LISMAR designed and manufactured wheel/wedge combination system. For the new upper saddle the profile axes is controlled by the eccentric directly on the grinding wheel spindle to ensure that all grinding forces are absorbed. Combined with a wheel balancing system, a vibration free operation of the grinding could be guaranteed.
